Driving around Spain in an electric car is now much easier thanks to Drive & Dream and Paradores, and today I am in Cuenca visiting the town and charging the Tesla Roadster in the Parador.
We have tested about 10% of the Parador network so far and all is looking good. This summer we will launch the full network and route planning service with the arrival of the Model S. The charge points are 3-phase and allow up to 20KW of charging which will provide about 120km for every hour of charging.
The trip today was made extra spicy thanks to the snow (which is crazy for almost May!)…
But it made a bonnie place even more bonnie…
That’s the Parador (originally it was a monastery) in the centre.
You may spot in the photo the runners in a cross-country race taking place at the same time. They ran twice to the top of the highest point and back across the river to the town, in the snow. Cool! (literally).
