It’s 403kms if I go through Madrid city centre, which shouldn’t be too much trouble, if the road were flat… But as you can see from the above profile of the google maps route courtesy of gpsvisualizer.com (awesome tool!) I kick off with an 800m climb, then 3 drops and climbs of 300m before dropping down to Madrid.
If I lose 5kms for every 100m climb and gain 3kms for every 100m drop then I’m going to end up loosing 40kms. Add to that the difficulty in getting close to ideal range and I’m really cutting it fine.
Let’s see what happens… 🙂
